Did they really just say that?

This is the week we do our one-shot workshop!

Amber and I have been preparing our workshop on how to be culturally sensitive as an instructor in a classroom and as a co-worker. It's important to create a welcoming environment for everyone, and sometimes alienation can occur even by the most welcoming and good-intentioned persons. It will primarily be in discussion format. We were thinking that cultural sensitivity is something that is not really discussed, more it is taught in long staff meetings of what is bad to say. We are hoping that the workshop will provide a good discussion on what culturally sensitivity looks like, along with bringing these ideas to the forefront of all of our minds to consider and re-evaluate our actions when interacting with others.
